Medicinal Mushroom Tea Making (after Santa Breakfast)

  • Waters Farm Preservation, Inc. 53 Waters Road Sutton, MA, 01590 United States (map)

About the Class

Learn about several highly medicinal mushrooms you can easily identify in the wild, plus how to make medicine with them to fight winter illnesses! Whether you are new to mushrooming or have experience foraging for edible mushrooms, take your mushrooming game to the next level with some of the same lecture I give at the Museum of Natural History. Prepare and taste medicinal mushroom tea which modulates our immune systems against viruses, disease and auto-immune-related conditions. After the lecture and tea-making, we will go to a nearby location to collect medicinal mushrooms in the wild. Take the mushrooms you find home with you to make teas and tonics, you will receive a handout with recipes and information about each mushroom.

$35/person over the age of 12yrs (this is a teen-adult class due to mushroom safety precautions) A portion of the class fee will be donated to support Waters Farm Preservation.  Visit Evenbrite to purchase tickets for this event.
